On Friday 4 October, this year’s Waynflete Studies Prize Winners were invited to the President’s Lodge at Magdalen College where they were awarded their prizes by the President of Magdalen College, Professor Sir David Clary. The President quizzed each one on their essays, starting with Overall Winner James, and all eight winners impressed with the depth of the knowledge that they had acquired over the year of study.

Magdalen College School Sixth Form pupil receives Waynflete Studies Prize at Magdalen College

The Master and Dr Kostyanovsky, Head of Waynflete Studies, accompanied the pupils. We would like to express our gratitude to all at Magdalen College for helping us with the programme, particularly the panel of judges under Chairmanship of Dr Ralph Walker and to the President for hosting the ceremony. Congratulations to the Prize Winners – and to all members of the year group who worked so hard to produce their impressive 5000 word essays.

As part of our partnerships work with local schools, pupils from sister school MCS Brackley took part in the Waynfelte Studies programme, fostering a year-long partnership. Many congratulations to Hannah (below) from MCS Brackley on her award.
