Whole School Open Morning
Our Open Morning takes place on the second or third Saturday of September and offers an opportunity for you to look around the whole school at leisure. Visiting families are invited to attend a welcome address from the Master before touring the school with current pupils.
Families have an opportunity to meet subject teachers and pupils studying each subject, and to learn more about our co-curricular activities. Prospective pupils are welcome to join in with the wide range of classroom activities on offer in each Department and refreshments are available at the end of each tour, giving families an opportunity to chat with senior staff and the admissions team. Families are then welcome to continue to explore any other particular areas of interest in the School.

Senior School and Sixth Form Open Afternoon
Open Afternoons take place each term and offer an opportunity to visit us on a normal school day. The Master will give a welcome and introduction to the School and its ethos, and a pupil panel will be on hand to talk about their life at school and to take questions. This event also includes a school tour during which families are invited to observe lessons in progress and ask questions of their pupil guides, followed by an opportunity to meet prefects and Senior School and Sixth Form staff over refreshments for further discussions.
Prospective pupils are very welcome to join their parents at this event.

Sixth Form Open Evening
The Sixth Form Open Evening takes place each May and is an opportunity for prospective Sixth Formers to meet Heads of Department and current Sixth Form pupils and to find out more about their possible A Level choices and life in the Sixth Form at MCS including CSO, Waynflete Studies, UCAS support, Music, Sport and Drama. During their self-directed tours, families are invited to visit our Sixth Form Centre and subject departments to ensure all their questions are answered.
As there are no sit-down talks or presentations at the Open Evening, families may also like to attend an Open Afternoon or the Whole School Open Day.

Senior School Taster Evening
This event takes place each October and is for pupils in Year 6 who are looking for either Year 7 (11+) entry or Year 9 (Pretest) entry. Pupils are invited to come and experience two contrasting lessons and are given supper while parents hear from our Senior Leadership team and current pupils, who showcase just a few highlights of our extra-curricular offering. This is an ideal opportunity for pupils to get a feel for lessons and life at MCS and for parents to learn a little more about what we offer beyond the classroom.
