Every department at MCS runs day trips each year, both as part of the curriculum and for extension. Regular destinations include Lulworth Cove (Geography), the Roman Baths at Bath (Classics), Kew Gardens (Art), the British Library (History), the Houses of Parliament (Politics) and the Natural History Museum (Biology).

We also run a broad range of residential trips throughout the year both in the UK and abroad. The experiences they provide to our pupils are both academically enriching and eye-opening for them. We will be continuing to do our utmost to ensure these trips can run safely and cost effectively. We have a track record of running excellent residential trips abroad to India (Geography), Greece and Italy (Classics) and New York (Art), as well as destinations in the UK such as Northumberland, North Wales and Devon.

Magdalen College School pupils on school trip

The Sports department has rugby tours to Somerset and hockey to Greshams pencilled in the diary for this year, as well as already having taken a successful pre-season tour to Cardiff earlier this year.

International tours are currently being planned as we look to take our tennis players to Spain, our musicians to Slovenia, as well as the regular Drama tour to the Edinburgh Fringe.
