Thank you for considering making a gift towards MCS bursary and hardship funds at this difficult time.

MCS is not a wealthy school. Well over 90% of our income is from fees, while the rest comes chiefly from donations.

That said, in being closed for some or all of next term due to the current pandemic, there are some costs which we are able to translate into a 15% fee reduction for parents in Trinity term.

Financial hardship is unevenly distributed among our parents. Some are salaried and secure; others much less so.

  • We therefore ask MCS parents to consider donating some or all the 15% fee reduction (£947 for J3 – U6; £912 for J1 – J2) to the school if they are in a position to do so.
  • This will support the long-term success of the school, and potentially enable us to offer hardship grants to those who are genuinely and profoundly affected on a temporary basis by the implications of the virus.

We recognise that these are uncertain times for all of us, not least financially. But MCS is a strong community and if anyone can get through this, we can.

Thank you for all your support.
