Thursday 28 November saw MCS host the regional round of the Geographical Association WorldWise Quiz with 27 teams from 11 schools competing over 7 rounds.
After heated competition, the MCS Junior team of Charlie, Allen and Mantas ended up tied with The Dragon School. After a 5 question tiebreaker, the scores were still level so joint honours were awarded with the MCS boys kindly allowing the trophy to go to the visitors for safekeeping for now.
The second junior team of William, Christopher and Aadhav were in close pursuit, just 8 points behind.
In the Senior competition the team of Moe, John and Charlie put in a strong performance to take the title outright ahead of Oxford Spires and Harrow with the second team of Tahmid , Sam and Tom coming in a close 4th place.
Congratulations to all the boys involved in the competition for some excellent Geographical Quizzing and to the Lower Sixth Geographers for their invaluable help in running the event.
