The CSO Concert Party, comprising 13 Lower Sixth students, has put together two rather atmospheric and beautiful arrangements to help lift the spirits as we begin to emerge from the national lockdown.

The first piece they have chosen is ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon and the second is ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’. They were drawn to these pieces as they became anthems of solidarity for many UK Radio stations in the first lockdown, and they decided to make their own arrangements of these songs to raise morale for the remaining duration of this lockdown.

The CSO Concert Party is part of the school’s Community Service Organisation (CSO), whereby Lower Sixth pupils spend one afternoon each week volunteering in the community. The placements in which the pupils take part are varied, offering each individual an opportunity to unearth that which captures their imagination. Each year, a number of pupils choose to continue volunteering at their placement beyond the end of the Lower Sixth.
