On Friday 3 December pupils Myron and Archie will release a new treble duet album of Christmas music following on from the success of their debut charity album LOVE IS. Love Came Down at Christmas has had strong reviews from Classic FM presenter Alexander Armstrong who called it  “a fabulous album” and it was shouted out by Fiona Maddocks, music critic at The Observer and the Guardian as a “repertoire first”.

The album features Christmas music through the centuries, and has been masterfully arranged into unique treble duets accompanied by professional strings and international concert pianist, Maki Sekiya and is sung in 5 languages. The album premieres the title track, Love Came Down at Christmas. The words of Christina Rosetti’s poem have been set to music by Michael Haslam (three-time Olivier award-winning musical director) who wrote the piece especially for Myron and Archie.

One song has even been accepted for the Cathedral Music Trust advent calendar.

Proceeds will go to the Childhood Cancer Research Trust which has been set up by Lower Sixth pupil Kasper, Myron’s brother, who is currently facing childhood cancer.
