Welcome

We are very much looking forward to meeting you at our Open Morning. Ahead of the event, we have gathered some information to give you a glimpse of life in the Junior School before you come and experience it for yourself.

We hope your visit gives you a real sense of the warmth, energy and opportunities that make MCS Junior School such a special place.

Learn more about us before your visit

Before joining us at the Open Morning, we encourage you to look at the videos and information below to discover more about the unique blend of academic challenge and caring pastoral support on offer in the Junior School at MCS. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing even more of what makes our community so special.

Our entry points

We offer a range of entry points, depending on your child’s current school and age. Our first point of entry is for Year 3 through our 7+ admissions process. Those interested in joining Years 4 or 5 take our 8+ or 9+ entrance assessments.

Our move to co-education

We are excited that during the coming decade MCS will become fully co-educational, offering places to high-achieving boys and girls as we prepare for our 550th anniversary in 2030. Girls will join Year 3 and Year 4 from September 2027 and Year 7 from 2030.
