The best way to find out about MCS is to visit us. We would be delighted to welcome you at any of the Open Events listed below, and very much encourage you to visit the school and to come and meet us.
While we still very much hope that these events will be able to take place, given the current circumstances we are putting alternative plans in motion just in case we are unable to meet you in person.
We will be offering our Whole School Open Morning on 19 September as one of our popular Virtual Events. If we later find we are able to welcome you in person, as we very much hope, we will contact attendees with more information about visiting.
If you would like us to keep you informed of any updates by email please let us know:
Our Virtual Open Events over the summer months have so far given over 350 families the opportunity to get a feel for life at MCS, including an address from the Master, key teaching staff and the chance to hear from pupils about their experience of joining our school. If you would like to watch a recording of our June events please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you a link and password.

We offer Junior School Open Mornings throughout the year, and these offer a lovely opportunity to see the Junior School in action on a normal working day; booking is required and young siblings are very welcome. The Junior School Open Mornings begin with a talk by the Master and the Head of Junior School at 9.30 am followed by a tour of the school with one of our Year 6 boys and coffee with the Head of Junior School and the Registrar’s team.
We hold three Senior School Open Events during the year and these are an excellent opportunity to get a feel for the Senior School. The Open Evening in October is for Year 7 and Year 9 only. The events start with a talk from the Master followed by a Question and Answer Session with a pupil panel, a tour with a current pupil of your child’s age at entry and finish with tea and cakes with the Master, Heads of Department and the Registrar’s team. These events are very popular so do please book well in advance.
The events start with a talk from the Master followed by a Question and Answer session exclusively with current Sixth Form pupils and tours of the Sixth Form Centre that offer more time with subject teachers and Heads of Department. The evening has proved very popular so do book well in advance.
