We’re National Hockey Champions! The 1st XI boys hockey team has won the National Schools Cup final 4-3 with a goal scored in the last minute of the game.

A tense and strongly contested final started with Bradfield College going 2-0 ahead at half-time, before a strong MCS response in the second half left both teams all square at 3-3. A yellow card and short corner in the 70th minute gave Freddie M-J – with 1.2s left on the clock – the opportunity to slot in a short corner and win the final 3-4.

Congratulations to other goal scorers Will, Alex and James and the whole 1st XI team on a highly impressive performance. Many thanks to Bradfield College for a great game of hockey.
