Veteran Old Waynfletes (those who left forty or more years ago) returned to MCS on Saturday 25 November for the annual VOW Lunch. Guests spanned three decades, ranging from the class of 1949 upwards.
The event also saw the reunion of the winning Youll Cup tennis team from 1967: Peter Harris, Alan Oliver, Chris Ronaldson and Robert Wallis, who came together for the 50th anniversary of their success at Wimbledon. They were joined by former teachers and honorary OWs, their coach John Harrop and Brian Martin, who accompanied them to the tournament.
After lunch in the Dining Hall, guests had an opportunity to view developments at the School by enjoying refreshments and a tour of the new Sixth Form Centre – quite a difference from the 1928 buildings they previously used!
