The Conveniamus Bursary Fundraising Campaign, launched on Commem (Saturday 4th July) and finishing at the end of September, has been raising funds in anticipation of increased hardship and bursary need faced by current and prospective MCS families as a result of the Pandemic.

We are delighted to announce that the campaign total currently stands at

£46,000!

Gifts up to a total of £50,000 will be matched by an anonymous OW Donor, who is giving in memory of inspirational former teacher Nigel Bates. Contributors are encouraged to include gift aid if possible in order to maximise their gifts’ potential.

In effect, for every £1 donated, MCS will receive £2.50.

Old Waynfletes’ Chairman Bill Morris (OW 1963) wrote this week to encourage OWs, parents and Friends to consider supporting MCS pupils:

“There are a number of families with pupils at MCS who are facing real difficulties as a result of the current crisis. My own view is that under no circumstances should any pupil have to give up their place at MCS. Just imagine what it would mean to a pupil if they could no longer be part of this wonderful community, through no fault of their own.”

MCS is extremely grateful to all those who have already donated. Every gift makes an impact.
