The School was informed of Peter’s passing on 29 January 2017 by his daughter Sue. He had wished that MCS be informed of his death and had prepared the following words:

Peter was born in 1925 and gained a scholarship to MCS in 1936 from East Oxford School. He remembered his school life with great affection, particularly on the sports field, being awarded Full Colours for hockey, Half Colours for cricket, and representing the School at tennis.

In 1941 he went into local government finance, and after returning from war service in the R.A.F, qualified as an Accountant and became as Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. After career moves to Reading, Swindon and then Bath, in 1973 he was appointed City Treasurer to Bath City Council.

His wife Barbara, whom he loved dearly, died in 2011 after 62 years of marriage, and he leaves two daughters and four grandchildren, all of whom he loved and was very proud.
