We were informed of the death of Francis Carnell, who preferred to be known as Chris, in March of 2022.
We are grateful to his wife Dominique for providing the following words.
Chris died at the age of 77 after a short illness, surrounded by his family. After leaving MCS, he read Architecture in Oxford at the then polytechnic, and went on to found his own practice with his business partner David Green. They ran a successful practice in South Kensington for 30 years until retirement, employing many of his talented classmates along the way.
I’ve attached a picture of Chris in more recent times, and an old school photo from MCS, he is second top row, fifth from the right with his eyes closed!
