The Waynflete Office has been informed by his daughter Fiona of the death of Ewart Beardshaw at the age of 84.
We are grateful to Fiona for these words about her father:
A proud Old Waynflete, my father’s lifelong passion for sports, began young on the rugby fields and rowing teams of Magdalen College School. He went on to run marathons including the first London marathon in 1981 at the age of 43 and took up Karate in his 60’s.
He will be sorely missed by all of those that knew him.
We extend our condolences to Ewart’s daughters Fiona and Liz and his other family and friends.
