Dom (Lower Sixth) has developed a mobile game, SkiCross, during lockdown to raise money for The Mustardseed School in Uganda. The game costs £2.99 and is available on the App Store and Play store.

So far, the game has raised:

Here, Dom tells us more about the game and how he created it:

What is SkiCross?

SkiCross is a mobile skiing game. It has six levels, each based on a different real-life ski resort. It is available to buy on the App Store and on the Play Store.

How did you learn to make mobile games?

I did GCSE Computer Science and at the end of the course, during lockdown, we learnt how to make games using Python. I then applied the skills I learnt from that, with help from some Youtube videos.

What was the most rewarding part of the process?

When I first got it to work on a mobile phone.

Have many of your classmates downloaded it?

Quite a few – they have left good reviews.

What’s your goal in terms of downloads?

It is difficult to tell what to expect – I would love it to be a big success. It is for a good cause!

Well done, Dom!

You can download Dom’s game SkiCross in the App Store now or via Google’s Play store and support The Mustardseed School, Uganda, in the process.
