The MCS community was delighted to welcome Kenneth Buwule, one of the founders of our partner school in Uganda, for a visit this month.

Kenneth is a Ugandan school teacher, book editor and postgraduate scholar of peace and conflict resolution. Together with John Caird, British writer and theatre director (and MCS alumnus) he conceived the idea of the Mustardseed Junior School in Sentema, Uganda.

During his visit to MCS Kenneth spent time in the Junior and Senior schools watching lessons in everything from Mandarin to First Aid, he attended assemblies, met with key staff, enjoyed guided tours by pupils and had an all-round immersive experience of education in the UK.

Kenneth said he found the visit inspiring and will take his learnings back to Sentema where the Mustardeed School is due to open in February 2021.
