After completing their internal exams, our 2nd Form pupils headed off on their residential trip last week for two days of outdoor adventure, teamwork and bushcraft skills.

Travelling by coach to Badminton Estate in Gloucestershire, pupils quickly swapped the classroom for the great outdoors and embraced a packed programme of activities. Throughout the residential, they learned how to build fires, construct shelters and even create traps designed to catch “wild teachers” and animals, putting their problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test.

One of the highlights of the trip was cooking burgers over fires they had built themselves, before gathering around the campfire later in the evening to roast marshmallows and enjoy time together after a busy week of exams.

Pupils also took part in a variety of outdoor games and challenges, making the most of the opportunity to unwind, enjoy the fresh air and spend time with friends. Before returning to school, they created survival bracelets as a keepsake to remember the experience.

The residential proved to be a fantastic way to celebrate the end of exams, with pupils enjoying the chance to learn new skills, take on challenges and let off some steam in the outdoors.

Thanks to all the staff who accompanied the trip.
