On Friday 7th February, over 300 guests joined MCS for the much loved annual Waynflete Studies Presentation Evening which was kindly hosted by the Parents Association. The evening began with a Drinks Reception and charity collection in aid of the local charity Clear Sky which had been chosen by the Sixth Form.

It continued with three rounds of presentations involving more than 30 Upper Sixth pupils each giving a talk on their Waynflete Studies research and taking questions from the audience. With topics ranging from the use of sham surgeries as placebo treatments to the psychology of social media and the morality of killing civilians in war to the development of Public Key Cryptography, the evening was a testament to the intellectual curiosity of the pupils involved.

The audiences all agreed that it gave the pupils a chance to demonstrate not only the depth of their research and analysis but also to develop their presentation skills and ability to handle tough and challenging questions.

We extend our congratulations to all those who presented for the mature and professional way in which they rose to the challenge.
