We are grateful to his granddaughter Laura Cooper for these words about David Achurch who died in 2022 at the age of 89. After leaving school and doing his national service in the army, he spent the rest of his career working at British Leyland travelling all around Africa. He married Sheila Warwick and continued to live in Solihull after Sheila passed. He is survived by his two children, 3 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He continued to play numerous sports and was a lifelong season ticket holder for Oxford United as well.
We will remember him for his ability to laugh and see the good and positive in life and his selection of brightly coloured shirts and polo tops.
