The school was immensely grateful to recently be nominated for a 2019 TES Independent School Award in the category of Whole-school Community Initiative of the Year.
The awards ceremony took place at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Friday 1 February, with the Usher Toby Beaumont, Deputy Head and Head of Education Development Scott Crawford, and Head of Music and SCR President Jon Cullen in attendance.
Over the last year, 8,800 people were in direct contact with our outreach programmes. Pupils from Oxfordshire schools involved in learning projects with us have achieved tremendous success – in this year’s round of Oxbridge offers, three pupils from Cheney and one from Oxford Spires Academy have secured offers to read Mathematics, while one student from Matthew Arnold School will go to Cambridge to study medicine.
