Our partner school, Mustardseed Junior School in Sentema, Uganda has released a calendar to help raise money for their scholarship programme. Speaking on the difficulties faced by children in Uganda since the start of the pandemic, the school sent out the following update:
“It has been a challenging but exciting time at Mustardseed Junior School this year. Although schools in Uganda have remained closed now for over 2 years, this has not stopped us!
We used our plentiful outdoor learning spaces around the school to deliver our Let’s Keep Learning programmes. These programmes focused on the fulfillment of the children’s academic and pastoral needs. Our differentiated learning packs, which focused on numeracy and literacy, supported 135 children with their learning and our learning pods created a safe, creative space for children to explore, discover and develop their skills as learners. The pandemic has been very hard for children, not only academically, but also socially, emotionally and physically.”
It is owing to people's generosity that we have been able to support so many children over this past year and we are so grateful.

It costs £365 to sponsor a child to go to Mustardseed Junior School for a year, which is around £30 a month or just £1 per day.
