We were honoured to welcome Niki Mardas, CEO of Global Canopy, as our Upper Sixth Lecturer today.
Global Canopy is an international environmental NGO and think-tank which works to accelerate the transition to a deforestation-free global economy. Niki spoke to the year group about whether global markets could ever be used to protect nature as effectively as they now destroy it?

Niki spoke about his approach to environmentalism and the work he leads at Global Canopy. After the introductory lecture, Mr Panton opened the discussion up to questions, comments and challenges from pupils.
