Since the start of Hilary Term, MCS has offered up the school site on weekends to provide car parking facilities for volunteer vaccinators being trained by St John Ambulance at our neighbour St Hilda’s College Oxford.

Earlier this week we were delighted to learn that an incredible 981 people have been trained by 50 SJA volunteer staff. This equates to 793 vaccinators, 134 care volunteers and 54 patient advocates.

St John Ambulance volunteers are supporting the NHS England and NHS Improvement COVID-19 vaccination programme. We were thrilled to hear those trained as part of this project were busy delivering vaccinations at Oxford’s Kassam Stadium Vaccination Centre in recent weeks.

Our particular thanks go to Assistant Caretaker Kenny Beechers for being on duty throughout, assisting with the smooth running of this immensely important programme.

Well done to all the volunteer vaccinators and St John Ambulance for your incredible work during the pandemic. We are pleased to have been able to help in a small way.
