Just before the half term break, pupils and staff took to Christ Church Field in their house teams to compete in a Charity Rounders tournament, to help raise money for Oxford Hospitals Charity, one of our chosen charities this academic year.

"The smiles, laughter, and generosity made it a win for everyone involved."

Ana (Lower Sixth), member of the Charity Committee

Ana (Lower Sixth), member of the Charity Committee, said this of the day: “Sunshine, community spirit, and friendly competition set the scene for an unforgettable charity rounders event! House teams made up of players from across year groups gathered on Christ Church field on the last day before half term for an intense set of rounders matches. The event saw Maltby take the win, with Leicester coming in a close second place. The event managed to raise £330.23 for Oxford Hospitals Charity but the smiles, laughter, and generosity made it a win for everyone involved.”

Player Monty (Lower Sixth) said “I had a great time at charity rounders and loved seeing all the year groups come together despite rounders being surprisingly more challenging than cricket! Some of the younger ones even had to show me how it was done.”

Thank you to all who came along to support the event as well as those who baked for the bake sale, your contributions made a real difference.
