This year’s first theatrical production was Euripides’ ‘Cyclops’, based on a translation by the poet Shelley. With just four weeks to rehearse, the cast and crew nonetheless managed to create a production that really captured the essence of the original text, challenging the audience to consider the nature of humanity when confronted by the ‘monstrous’.

The show was a real triumph, and set a very high standard for this year’s theatre programme.
