This week, we were delighted to host the annual WorldWise Quiz at MCS Big School, welcoming local schools from across the area for an exciting day of Geography competition.
The competition featured a total of 48 teams involving eight rounds covering a range of geography themes. Students tackled Ordnance Survey map skills, physical geography, Geography in the News, and a Decision Making Exercise. There was also a quick-fire general knowledge round, which kept teams on their toes and added to the lively atmosphere.
It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, teamwork and geographical knowledge on display. The standard of competition was incredibly high in both the Junior and Senior groups, making for a closely contested and enjoyable evening.
Congratulations to New College School for taking the Junior trophy and Abingdon School for winning the Senior competition.
Hosting the quiz was a wonderful opportunity to bring schools together and celebrate a shared passion for geography. We would like to thank all the pupils and staff who took part and helped make the event such a success.
