The Waynflete Office has just been informed of the death of former teacher Gordon Howden who was a teacher at MCS from 1947 – 1959. This notice was in Gordon’s local newspaper the Gazette and Herald: Â Gordon Howden died peacefully after a short illness, on February 10th 2021 aged 98 years. Beloved husband of the late Mavis and a much-loved father of Valerie and Jennifer. Cherished Poppa to grandchildren Jessica, Francesca, Verity, Max and Lorenzo and to 7 great-grandchildren. Former Headteacher of Norton School, now Norton College.
