The Middle School Theatre Academy presents its production of Macbeth this evening and tomorrow evening at Pegasus Theatre. Pupils from the performance and technical academies have been working steadily throughout the term to prepare this interpretation of Shakespeare’s classic.
The production follows Macbeth and Banquo’s fateful encounter on the Scottish Highlands, where the promise of future power sets in motion a sequence of decisions that reshape their lives and the kingdom they serve. In bringing this interpretation to the stage, pupils have worked on considering how mood, movement and pacing shape the story. Those involved in technical theatre have supported the production with careful attention to lighting, sound and staging.
It promises to be a fantastic evening showcasing beautiful costumes, creative staging and memorable performances. Our pupils have put a lot of effort into bringing this to stage, we hope you enjoy.
