Congratulations to MCS Sixth Former Kevin (second from right), who took part in the International Linguistics Olympiad in Taiwan in July as part of one of the UK teams.
Not only did Kevin win himself a Bronze medal in the Individual contest, but was part of the Silver medal-winning UK team in the team contest and has entered the IOL Hall of Fame as a member of a Dream Team (where all four team members have earned a medal). The individual contest featured languages from Bhutan, Sudan, Kenya, Papua New Guinea and Guatemala, and the whole UK squad also won the Blue Vase prize for the highest average score. The team contest problems were focused on languages from eastern Nepal. Well done, Kevin!
