Fifth Form pupil Arnaud attended the COP26 climate conference in Glasgow last week and designed a mural based on his experience. It is a result of discussions with delegates, capturing the tone of the negotiations, wandering around the many pavilions, observing protests, and understanding many complex aspects of the negotiations (Article 6, Common timeframes, multilateral agreements, nature-based solutions, loss and damage, funding for adaptation, and much more).

The mural received international press coverage, being featured in publications such as The Guardian, The Scotsman and Vox. The UNFCCC Secretariat even wanted to ship it back to their offices in Bonn, but everyone decided it was best to leave it as a legacy to the city of Glasgow. It will now feature in a new civil society centre for climate change that is opening in January.
