Congratulations to all pupils who presented their final pitches for the prestigious J4 Young Enterprise Prize earlier today, Thursday.
With seed funding of just £15, six teams have spent the term setting up their Christmas-themed businesses. They are:
- Santa’s Sleigh
- Enterprise Elves
- Snowy Salesmen
- Posh Penguins
- Christmas Creations
- Santa’s Little Helpers
During weekly Activities Afternoons the teams have carried out market-research to identify demand, looked at product development and financial planning, and prepared their marketing and sales strategies.
Each team had six minutes to present their business plan and products to a festively-dressed judging panel – made up our 2024-5 classroom assistants and Miss Garmston’s (J3B) and Miss Gwillim-Thomas’ (J4B) mums.
Now, the teams will take their merchandise to Saturday’s Junior School Christmas Fair – and see if their financial projections bear out! All proceeds raised will go to Mustardseed School, our partner school in Uganda.
Congratulations to all our Young Enterprise pupils for their impressive business acumen, and for creating such fantastic Christmas stock – we hope it flies off the shelves on Saturday! The team taking the greatest profit will be crowned the winner.
