The medical centre is a facility that is open for all pupils, staff and school visitors, offering services that include nursing care, emergency first aid and mental health support.

Open from 7.30 am until 6 pm Monday to Friday during term time, the MCS medical centre is a private and safe space for those who require it. Three full-time Registered Nurses work closely with the wider pastoral and safeguarding teams to ensure that all visitors receive the care and/or support that they require. Pupils also have access to the school’s two counsellors; referrals may be sent via the medical centre.

From November 2023, the medical centre will be supporting NHS/OBU Student Nurses for their community placement as part of their nursing degree course. They will be on duty for 30 hours per week, term time only, and be supervised in their training by the Registered Nurses employed at the centre.
