OW Events

In conjunction with the Old Waynfletes’ Club, the Waynflete Office organises events each year for OWs, including OW Sports, the annual OW Dinner, a Young OWs’ lunch, a Veteran OWs’ lunch, drinks at Christmas and more. Old Waynfletes are also very welcome to many school events, such as talks, concerts and plays as well as sports fixtures.

19 March 2022 will – hopefully – see the return of the OW Dinner, this time at Corpus Christi College, Oxford. While the 2020 and 2021 OW Dinners have not been able to happen due to the pandemic, we look forward to reuniting OWs as soon as possible.

Inclusion: How Mentoring Makes a Difference

Mentoring has become more important than ever in helping tackle some of the biggest challenges that individuals and companies currently face.

In this session, six dynamic entrepreneurs explored how mentoring is helping individuals and organisations succeed in light of social mobility, youth unemployment, and racial, gender and diversity challenges. Our experts also provided practical and actionable insights about how to become involved in mentoring schemes. Click here to read more about our panel of inspiring entrepreneurs, and the organisations they founded.

We are pleased to share a recording of this session below.

Additionally, we are delighted to have partnered with Goal 17 to bring you an exclusive mentoring guide.  We hope this inspires you to take the next step on your mentoring journey, whatever that may be.  Click here to download now.

Do get in touch if you are interested either in mentoring someone, or being mentored yourself after this event.

Take inspiration from OWs Ian Crammond (1968) and Jim Hawker (1992) who met at an OW event and formed a mutually beneficial mentor-mentee relationship for many years.

We are delighted to hold this session as part of MCS’s diversity and inclusion commitments.
