MCS was informed of Roger’s death on 19 January 2013 by his wife Rona. The following was published by the Oxford Mail on 23 January 2013:
Roger Button died suddenly at his beloved Latheronwheel on Saturday 19 January 2013, aged 71 yrs and formerly of Cumnor, Abingdon, Grove and 64 Pennyland Drive, Thurso. Beloved husband of Rona, a loving father to James and step father to Annlouise and Hazel, an awesome PA to Jack. A dear brother, Uncle, Son in law and Friend to many.
