The school has been informed that Dr Robert J Baldick (1968) passed away in December 2012.
Robert was born on 6 August 1950, to the translator and scholar of French Literature, Professor Robert Baldick, and Grace Curtis. He was born and grew up in Oxford, attending Magdalen College School before gaining a Postmastership in 1968 to read Oriental Studies at Merton.
Robert followed in his father’s footsteps, and continued to work in academia, spending time at King’s College, London, and afterwards at Wolfson College.
