It was wonderful to welcome pupils, parents and staff to our Drawing Exhibition this week, showcasing a fabulous array of works from pupils in Second Form to Upper Sixth.

Responding to the theme ‘co-ordinates unknown,’ pupils created a range of environments, locations and spaces – real and imagined. From flying bird worlds to utopian realms, their pieces reflected the breadth of their imagination. Attention to detail, with squirrels pulling faces out of trees and overflowing rubbish bins needing collection, introduced irony and humour; while personal details – like naming imaginary towns after friends – brought a personal touch. Meanwhile, creative use of materials and media, including coloured markers and layered acetate, created vibrancy and texture, and displayed the range of pupil skill.
