Yesterday, our J1 pupils enjoyed a delightful morning at the Story Museum, setting off from school bright and early for a 9.00 am start.
The pupils enjoyed exploring the museum’s Portal, wandering through the Whispering Wood, and discovering beautifully crafted themed rooms filled with the magical charm of childhood classics. In each space, stories were truly brought to life, allowing pupils to step into imaginative worlds and experience the magic of storytelling firsthand.
Throughout the visit, the pupils participated in a range of creative and engaging activities. They made their own drawings inspired by the stories they encountered, taking turns to explain their work to the class. They enjoyed playacting and reenacting favourite characters, trying on hats and costume pieces as part of their storytelling. One of the highlights was trying their hand at pulling the Arthur’s sword in the stone, which pupils approached with great enthusiasm. Other fun moments included tying ribbons to the wishing tree and exploring the different story worlds together.
It was a joy to see the pupils fully engaged, using their creativity and imagination throughout the morning. The trip concluded at 12.30 pm, with everyone returning to school full of excitement and eager to share their favourite memories from a truly inspiring visit.
A big thank you to the Junior School team for leading such a fun and creative day for our pupils!
