MCS visited St Francis CE Primary before half term to donate 20 books and accompanying worksheets as part of our partnership work with the school. The worksheets had been devised by our Lower Sixth pupils during CSO sessions in lieu of their physical visits to the school. Designed to consolidate their understanding and embed learning, the work involved a range of fun quizzes, puzzles and other activities. Two titles were chosen for this project: ‘The Everyday Journeys of Ordinary Things‘ and ‘Gut Garden‘, both of which had been shortlisted by The Royal Society for their Young People’s Book Prize award in 2020.
