These dynamic entrepreneurs will explore how mentoring helps individuals and organisations succeed in light of social mobility, youth unemployment, and racial, gender and diversity challenges – and provide actionable insights about how to become involved in mentoring schemes.

Jim is Co-Founder of Threepipe Reply, a brand performance agency that works with the likes of The England & Wales Cricket Board, Oracle, Panasonic and Soho Home. He founded Threepipe with the mentoring help of another OW that he approached at an OW networking event.
Jim regularly features in PR Week’s Powerbook as one of the most influential people working in PR, is one of The Holmes Report’s top 50 Most Innovative EMEA marketers and a board trustee of Virgin Money Giving.

Christopher is CEO and Founder of Brand Advance (BA), a startup 100 2020 company which connects brands with diverse audiences globally, through Insights, Media and Creative that more authentically engages these communities.
Chris is also the Director of Diversity and Inclusion at OUTvertising, the Advertising industry Lobbying Group and as a mixed race, out gay father – is a strong advocate for diversity and representation within the Media and Advertising industry as a member of the WFA Diversity Advisory Board and is also on the advisory board for the V&A Museums.
An award- winning entrepreneur having received the Innovator of the Year Award at the second annual Ex-Forces in Business Awards, and recently named on EMPower’s 100 Ethnic Minority Executives 2020.
Charly is CEO and Co-founder of The Girls’ Network – a charity that provides 14-19 year old girls from the least-advantaged communities across England with a female mentor and a network of professional female role models.
As a secondary school teacher, she saw first-hand how girls and young women were limited by their gender and background, and knew she had to do something! She left teaching, and has since grown the charity from supporting just 30 girls in 2013, to over 1,200 in 2020.
Charly has experience in scaling organisations from idea to reality, and has supported social entrepreneurs working in the education and social justice space through Teach First and the Fair Education Alliance.
She previously worked at the Royal Society of Arts as a researcher, was a primary school governor, and sits on the Expert Impact Alumni Board.
Fran is the Founder of Goal 17 Ltd; a mentor training company who specialise in increasing diversity, inclusion and social mobility through mentoring.
Goal 17 are on a mission to change the UK internal corporate mindset toward diversity and social mobility by empowering more people already within the workplace to use mentoring as a framework for meaningful change. They have been recognised as the market leaders at the National Mentoring Awards and featured in Forbes for their ground-breaking work. Personally, Fran has also been voted the UK’s Number 1 Business Influencer by Global Woman for her social impact projects.
Goal 17 are best known for their immersive learning programmes, pairing corporate mentor trainees with disadvantaged young people who are sponsored through sports-themed employability academies. These are delivered in partnership with Premier League Football Clubs and Premiership Rugby Clubs. Whilst the mentoring helps transform the lives of the young mentees, it also shifts the perspectives of the mentors who build the confidence and competence to support diverse talent.
Patrick is the founder of Visionpath, the youth employment specialists.
Having attended a failing school and coming from a low-income background with no professional networks or connections, Patrick passionately believes that a young person’s career potential shouldn’t be limited by their background. He started Visionpath when he left school in 2009 to create transformational programmes to help employers inspire, engage and hire disadvantaged young people.
Today, Visionpath has worked with over 15,000 young people and partners with forward-thinking employers like BDO, Hitachi Capital, Lloyd’s of London and Osborne Clarke. Together creating opportunity for those who need it most and helping businesses to be more diverse, representative and successful.
Tim is a passionate and recognised advocate of inclusion, which has led him to establish a ground-breaking charitable foundation and speak about education, empowerment, and entrepreneurship internationally.
He was awarded an MBE in 2012 for services to Enterprise Culture, having supporting the Mayor to increase the number of corporations recruiting apprentices from underrepresented communities across the capital, and leading his own foundation, Bright Ideas Trust. Since then, Bright Ideas Trust has raised over £3m and supports over 750 start-ups from disadvantaged groups.
More recently, Tim has prioritised his work in the education sector by joining the City of London Corporation Education Board and championing Apprenticeships as well as the social impact that companies have on their communities. He has extensive networks with the Livery Companies, London Business School, and the International Visitor Leadership Program, which is the US State Department’s premier professional exchange program.
Tim is married to his teenage sweetheart, has two children, and is a keen fitness enthusiast.
