Sheldonian Concert

The major concert of the year will take place on Thursday 21 March. It features the Symphony Orchestra performing Saint-Saens’ Symphony no. 3, The Choral Society and MCS Chorus performing Parry’s I was Glad, the MCS Chorus performing Eric Whitacre’s Sleep, and pupils in the Second Form performing Jazz songs of Innocence.

Are you a parent, former parent or OW?

This is your chance to get involved as part of the MCS Chorus (aka Parents’ Choir!). There are four rehearsals in the second half of this term. Don’t worry if you are unable to come to them all – we have put them on different days of the week to assist availability! The choir consists of current parents, former parents, staff and OWs and joins with the School Choral Society so there is a big group of singers. Last year we had a large number of new recruits which was fantastic so please do come along and give it a try! We will provide all the copies – just turn up for the first rehearsal which takes place in the Music Department!

The rehearsals are on Thursday 28 February (8pm), Wednesday 6 March (8pm), Tuesday 12 March (8pm) and Tuesday 19 March (6.30pm).
