Cricket

The U13A played Leicester Grammar School in Round 1 of the National Cup on Friday. MCS posted 216 in 30 overs, largely thanks to a fantastic unbeaten century by James Coles. A tidy display in the field resulted in a 45 run victory and the chance to progress further in the completion. Against Bromsgrove, MCS won five and lost four, with the 1st XI producing an outstanding display to win by 9 wickets. Other results included:

2nd XI lost by 1 wicket; 3rd XI won by 30 runs; U15A lost by 122 runs; U15B won by 2 wickets; U14A lost by 101 runs; U14B won by 5 wickets; U14C won by 14 runs.

There were multiple fixtures in Tennis against six different schools. The highlight being the senior’s clean sweep against Warwick where the 1st team won 12-0, the 2nd team 12-0 & the 3rd team 7-2. The U12s and U14s also won very convincingly in a largely successful day of tennis.
