Upper Fourth Formers have been spending time with primary school youngsters to share their love of reading, during an annual Readathon.
The Readathon is a yearly initiative where MCS works in partnership with local primary schools, with pupils visiting primary schools to read with early learners (Reception and KS1 children) – this year from Rose Hill Primary and Tyndale Community Schools
Jamie Carter, Deputy Head of Middle School at MCS, said: “It's a tremendous day for all involved and a wonderful opportunity for different schools in the community to come together. It’s always a highlight of the year for our boys.”
The school is also working with the primary schools on an art scheme exploring travel and place, where the children have created travel tags detailing their dream holiday destination. These will finally take their place in the large Art Installation, which is set to be one of the highlights of this year's Oxford Festival of the Arts which runs from 17th June – 2nd July.
