The Junior School trouped over to the College chapel for the yearly welcome service, bathed in the sunshine of the hottest September day on record.
The service was led by School Chaplain Rev’d Dr Tess Kuin Lawton, who gave a lovely address about our origins as a school and how kindness, thinking of others and friendship underpins our ethos. Head Boy Samuel Whitby read the Parable of the Good Samaritan and Head of Junior School Mr Skipwith 'The Two of Us' from Winnie the Pooh.
The fabulous acoustics of this intimate chapel helped some of the boys' our favourite hymns ring out.
Thanks go to the College for allowing the introduction of a new academic year in this special way again.
