Lest We Forget

The Junior School held a moving Remembrance Day service complete with a superb rendition of the last post performed by Harry Camilleri and Theo Harman-Francis from the 5th Form followed by two minute silence to reflect.

We talked about the reasons why we remember and the significance of the poppy; we revisited the installation of ceramic poppies at the Tower of London last year and discussed the origins of the Royal British Legion. A powerful short film on Robert Graves really captivated the boys, with links to surviving the horrors of war and moving on.

Meanwhile, in Senior School, MCS pupils filled Big School to pay tribute to the fallen with a moving Remembrance Service, where wreaths were placed at the altar, and period of silence and contemplation.
