Cross Country

The cross-country teams were out in force last week. On Thursday, the inter boys attended the Marlborough College invitational race: all of the runners finished inside the top 30, which brought the team home in an impressive third place – 1 point in front of Abingdon, 2 points behind Kingswood School, Bath, and 20 points behind a strong Harrow A team. Well done and thank you to the 12 runners that braved the wet and windy conditions at the South-East School Cross-Country at Harrow yesterday. All runners ran very well, on what was a very tough, hilly course.

Ben Sims had a particularly good week, coming 6th at Marlborough – running against students 2 years older than him – and a fantastic second place at the South-East Schools match yesterday at Harrow.

Well done to all involved in these two races and good luck to everybody in the house cross-country today!

Team of the week – The U15A for qualifying for the National Cup quarter finals. Good luck for your fixture on Thursday; good luck, also, to the 1st team tennis squad who are heading to Bolton for their National Finals.
