Congratulations to Danny, Cole, Richard and Mathis who represented the Junior School in the recent Explore Learning Mathematicians’ Award competition.
The boys tackled a never-before-seen maths puzzle created by the NRICH project at the University of Cambridge. The exercise was replicated in 180 Explore Learning Centres across the country and the best 5 schools will be selected to compete in the national final in February.
Mr Whelan, Head of Junior School Maths, said “The boys worked fabulously as a team showing brilliant collaboration on a fiendish maths puzzle, and really did us proud. At the end, they gave a 5 minute presentation on their solution, which was informative, intelligent and entertaining. We all had a great time and enjoyed investigating some fascinating maths”.
Good luck to our Mini Maths Marvels.
