We are delighted to announce that Fifth Form MCS pupil Laurie has been shortlisted for the Royal Academy Young Artists’ Summer Show with a series of small paintings of the Welsh hills.
Laurie said: “In this series, I have attempted to capture the sublime Welsh hillside, somewhere I have spent time all my life. I wanted to capture miniature almost postcard-like scenes with the recurring motif of a white farm cottage.”
The Young Artists’ Summer Show will be online from 10 June – 31 December 2019, and a selection of these artworks will be on display at the Royal Academy from 14 July – 4 August 2019.
