The May Morning celebrations may well have been cancelled, but MCS and the Choir of Magdalen College were determined not to let this 500-year-old Oxford tradition go unmarked.
This year, the Choir welcomed the coming of spring from their homes across the country via video link:
Watched by over a thousand people, from as far away as the United States and New Zealand, the 28 members of the Choir completed brand new renditions of the Hymnus Eucharisticus for May Morning.
It was also broadcast at 6am on BBC Radio Oxford, Radio Cherwell and JackFM.
