In January 2019, MCS parents were asked to complete a survey about the school. Parental insight is amongst the most important considerations when Governors, the Master and staff make decisions and plan for the future development of the school.

The research was conducted by RSAcademics, a respected consultancy within the independent schools sector, through an online survey, which was conducted anonymously.

Master Helen Pike reported in her Hilary End of Term letter:

“Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. That 70% of you did is testament to your support of the School. And this is before we move on to the many warm and moving comments which you made about the effect an MCS education has on your children’s lives.

“We commissioned this survey so that we can continue to plan for how we improve MCS. It is fair to say that there is no single clear consensus on this - beyond that we continue to keep our academic profile, extracurricular breadth and pastoral care as our perennial priorities. Much of what you suggest falls into these categories, with exhortations to ensure that all teaching is inspirational being a salient example of our being encouraged to focus on what you also say we do best.”
